The first and the biggest airport in Bosnia and Herzegovina is the International Airport Sarajevo, where Arcus has been, for many years, maintaining, upgrading and expanding the fire detection system, according to the growth of the airport.

Up until the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina, International Airport Tuzla was the biggest military airport of the Yugoslavian (SFRJ) Airforce. At the moment, it is one of the four international airports in Bosnia and Herzegovina, second in size only to the Sarajevo airport. In recent years, the airport has witnessed increase in passenger traffic, and became known as the hub for the low-cost carriers, whose services are used the passengers from Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as by those from neighbouring Croatia and Serbia.

At the airport Arcus has started works on installation of the fire detection system in the new passenger terminal building, which is being built at the airport.

System is based on automatic fire detectors, supported by the manual detectors, sirens, and other standard elements of the modern fire detection system, with special accent on connection with other elements of the fire protection installation, such as fire dampers, electric supply shutdown devices, fire water curtain system, etc.

In addition to the fire detection system, carbon-monoxide detector have been installed in the garage area of the Airport.
